This design was an upgrade to the prior generation AICS and incorporated the ergonomic and functional benefits of the AX sniper rifle system to the Remington 700 platform. This new design resulted in a superior chassis system suitable for any environment and mission. The AICS-AX provided a degree of modularity and configurability that did not previously exist. The success of this new design resulted in additional orders from both law enforcement and recreational shooters. The AICS-AX chassis is still in use today and was
